Green Eggs & Ham at The Dr. Phillips Center

Dr. Phillips Charities presents a free outdoor family concert in memory of Della Phillips with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 at Seneff Arts Plaza at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Music Director Eric Jacobsen, will take the stage at 3:00 p.m. to perform beloved Dr. Seuss family classics The Sneetches, brought to life by narrator Candace Neal, and Green Eggs and Ham, featuring Orlando locals Sierra Jobman and Claire Hodge. The concert program will also include orchestral selections by Antonín Dvořák and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

A story of kindness, diversity, and acceptance, The Sneetches tells the tale of the star-bellied Sneetches and plain-bellied Sneetches, and what happens the day Sylvester McMonkey McBean comes to town. Published in 1960, Green Eggs and Ham is has become one of the most classic children’s stories with over 8 million copies sold.

This program is sponsored by Dr. Phillips Charities honoring the legacy of Della Phillips. She was an accomplished musician with a deep passion for sharing the arts with the Central Florida community.
