Happy First Day of December, kids! Where has this year gone? Last year at this time, my debut album, "Music From A Can" had made it onto iTunes just in time for the holidays. Since then, I've been blessed enough to play all around Orlando, I got a ring on my finger, and have now begun writing for Candace Neal Album 2.0. :) I also wrote my FIRST CHRISTMAS SONG! Whaaaaa? And it's official now! It has a barcode and everything! :)

You can currently download "A Cozy Christmas" for just 99 cents on my Bandcamp & cdBaby sites. Be on the lookout for it on iTunes and Amazon soon! Boom.

Howdy, friends! Hope you're all well and happy. Now that Fall is in the air, all I can think about are pumpkins and falling leaves and cider and getting geared up for a few big things:

1. The release of my music video, "Disclaimer" starring all of YOU lovely people who submitted totally awesome footage just out of the goodness of your own heart.

2. The release of my first original song off of my next album, "A Song For A Greek Sailor."

3. Planning a WEDDING! Sheesh! Thank goodness I've got a whole year to get that under control. :) So, keep your eyes peeled for the new sights and sounds of Candace Neal- all coming to your computer this month. :)

SEPTEMBER 17, 2011
Oh my Lordy, it's been a while! Sheesh, Candace. Only FIVE months since your last post. But, for good reason. Life took off and I could finally put an end to those early morning complimentary breakfasts I had to take advantage of on account of my poorness. I began teaching theatre, doing more shows, playing better gigs (Backbooth, ow ow!) and- oh yeah- I got ENGAGED! Holy canolli. :)

So now, you're probably wondering what's up in the Candace music world. Well, I can officially announce that the very first song for my next album has been WRITTEN! It's entitled, "A Song For A Greek Sailor" and I can't wait for you lovely folks to hear it.

To celebrate, I will be releasing a special top secret demo version to all who participate in the production of my music video for my song, "Disclaimer." Ow ow! Wanna get it in on the coolness? Literally, all you have to do is film, yourself sitting in a white t-shirt. Head over to my Tumblr for details on the magic! I love you all dearly and can't wait to get cracking on Candace Album: Number Two.

Oh and if you're interested in the gooshy mooshy gross cuteness that is me and my fiancee- check out our engagement blog right here!

MARCH 5, 2011

Lordy, Lordy! Last night marked the opening of "Shout! The Mod Musical" over at Winter Park Playhouse in Winter Park, Fl. Thanks to a lot of opening night adrenaline and an unbelievably enthusiastic and beautiful audience, the show was a huge success. I'll be performing with this incredible cast every weekend this month so stop by and get your sixties fix!

FEBRUARY 26, 2011

Wonder of wonders! After a couple of years in mustardy yellows and tickle-me-pinks, The Official Candace Neal Website has undergone a makeover! I just can't get enough of a good seafoam green. It has been a beautiful 2011 so far. I've begun playing live in and around Orlando (you can read about all my musical adventures on my Tumblr) and have fallen in love with the adrenaline rush that comes with performing my music for real live ears (as opposed to the slightly more detached listening that accompanies my Youtube exploits). I am currently knee deep in rehearsals for SHOUT! The Mod Musical (Opening this coming Friday, March 4th at Winter Park Playhouse!). But, the live open mics are recommencing this week! Stay tuned and come say hi. :)

What?! Where did 2010 go? One year ago I was convinced I'd move to Nashville on my lonesome and struggle for a musical career. Never thought I'd land here: Orlando, Florida with an album on iTunes and an incredible support system. Now, even though I still live on pennies and bargains, I'm getting to make music for you beautiful people. May your New Year be filled to the brim with cupcakes, smiles, and a good soundtrack. I'm starting off this year right with a good ole fashioned video. Download this song for FREE at my Bandcamp site. Happy New Year, lovelies! :)

NOVEMBER 8, 2010
Would you believe it? I moved to Orlando in February and just nine months later, my album is recorded and on iTunes! :) I am floored and thrilled and can't wait to start playing live around the city (for starters and then we'll branch out). Thank you all for the support and love and well wishes. Today, over 100 posters, buttons, CDs and t-shirts were mailed out to our Kickstarter supporters. I am asking you to e-mail us the photos of you sporting or posing with these little goodies for use on the various Candace Neal affiliated websites! Mail photos right here!

Well, we did it, kids! In three weeks, we made $3,155.00 through Kickstarter.com to go toward manufacturing the album AND my very first digital piano! Yesterday, J and I spent a few hours submitting everything to Discmakers. The order has been put in for some totally awesome buttons and we can't wait to get all the tasty goodies to your doorstep. A lot of you have been asking if the album is on iTunes. It will be in about two weeks. Discmakers is handling our digital distribution so we can feel all official and cool. :) Right now you can purchase the album for $10.00 on Bandcamp.com. We cannot thank you enough for your undying support and amazing contributions.

We're stoked to begin gigging. Got a coffee shop or burger joint or piano bar or blues club or church potluck you need a musician for? We don't discriminate against venues. Contact us. We'll be there. :)

In but a few short weeks, so much has happened! I was asked to step in to be apart of the brilliant and colorful cast of School House Rock Live at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, an incredible debut Orlando theatre experience. I have squeezed in a nice bit of studio time (we've laid down SEVEN tracks). I am currently releasing homespun demos of originals and requested covers on YouTube with my "Bare Sessions" series. Go have a watch and a listen and then consider purchasing from my music site!!
