I am so proud and honored to call these folks my friends. The only thing bigger than their talent is their humility. Give them a listen. Buy their cd's. Support them, support them, support them because they absolutely rock.

Lead singer Jennifer Reiff is an old college friend of mine. Her vocals will straight up knock you out. The girl's got pipes. And the band's tight musicianship will make your heart sing and your head bang.

KARLA DAVIS

I've known Karla since the sixth grade. I have been so privileged to watch this Adidas-clad soccer gal with unmatched athletic everything blossom into a beautiful and insanely good songwirter/ vocalist/ guitar fiend. Her folksy songs will inspire you and her powerful, soulful voice will weaken you in the knees. Karla was just named the Best New Act in Country in the Colgate Country Showdown. And she SO is.

This six-piece band is insane. Their music is infectious. You hear one song, you'll want to hear them all. On the keys is Mike O'Malley, one of my close, close friends from high school. Mike has been a musical prodigy since day one. He'd see a piano in the corner of the room, sit at it, and whip up a ridiculous composition in minutes that'd send chills down your spine. He is self-taught on pretty much everything. Keys, bass, guitar, you name it- Mike plays it. Masterfully. This successfu band is touring all over the southeast at the moment. Try to catch a show.

JAMESON BOYCE

The man has fingers of gold. Put a keyboard in front of him and prepare to be blown away. And don't get me started on his mad synethsizer skills. I first spotted Jameson playing with Disney Hollywood Studios Band, "Mulch Sweat and Shears" and was immediately hooked. This Ben Folds/ Queen fanatic is a ridiculously talented musician and songwriter and, on top of that, helps to head up Disney World's amazing Encore Choir. Get some and have your musical thirst promptly quenched.

VOLATILE BABY

Singer, Gina Stewart, with her crisp, smoky vocals, directed me in Macbeth (of Charlotte, NC's Chickspeare- an all female Shakespeare troupe) back when I was but a wee middle schooler. Former frontgirl for the band, Doubting Thomas, I have been able to groove to Gina and her band for many years now. Their songs will put you on your front porch with a tall glass of sweet tea. Dig it.
